About me and this site
Holger Schueler, wearing sunglasses and an undercut hairstyle, in front of a brick wall

If you so happen to stumble about this page and we have not met, here are a few bits and pieces about me.

I am Holger. Based near Amsterdam. Curious mind with 16 years SaaS experience across different market-facing roles in a number of genre-defining companies in video conferencing and unified messaging, video streaming and digital asset management, digital design collaboration and design systems. Product Management, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, and finally Customer Success, Sales and Sales leadership at a strategic level . Been there, done that. Got more t-shirts than I like to remember.

Now co-running From Scratch Communications, a communications consultancy for inclusive brands. Here, I spend most of my time thinking about and helping our clients develop culture, collaboration and making organisations change-happy. Individuals can work with me as a sales & confidence coach. I am a certified facilitator for LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® and I also use Clifton Strengths® as a key framework. Alongside my consultancy and coaching work, I also look after client relationships.

In my free time, I dive deep into a few intersecting and diverse obsessions, mainly music (synths and bass guitar), electric mobility DIY, motorcycles and campaigning for Galgos. But a new new obsession is always around the corner.

Queer AF

I am non-binary. My pro-nouns are he/they. Some call this demigender. No matter what I do, I do it it as a queer person. This means that I question traditional gender definitions, stereotypes and expressions and that I do not conform to them. I believe in ex-gendering our world and embracing the non-binary in both gender identity and sexual orientation.

Origins and influences

I was born in German, moved around a few times from south to south-west and to the centre. in 2005 I ended up West Cork, Ireland. A separation and eventually divorce later, I moved to Reading, UK in 2011. In 2018, I left for the Netherlands in response to ab increasingly hostile environment and economic downturn post-Brexit. I now look back on having worked in 4 different European cultures while spending a good part of my career in companies with US headquarters. The resulting intersections and differences remain a big fascination for me.

Languages

This website is in English, but I also speak German and enough Dutch to get by outside the big metropoles.
